Not By Choice, Ron Sexsmith, and Carlito are some of the artists up for Canadian Independent Music Awards, to be handed out Wednesday in Toronto.

Now in its third year, the Indies are handed out to artists who released music independently, not through a major label.

Carlito, Corb Lund Band, Doc Walker, Kathryn Rose, The Rheostatics, Spirit Wind and The Weekend will perform. The Trailer Park Boys will make a special appearance at the show, which will be hosted by Dave Bookman of the Edge and The Rheostatics’ Dave Bidini.

The show begins at 9 PM at the Phoenix and is part of Canadian Music Week. Tickets can be purchased through Ticketmaster.
