All 5 Spice Girls Meet; Reunion in Doubt
According to reports coming from the UK, all 5 Spice Girl members met on Monday. This was the first time that all 5 members were in the same room together since Geri “Ginger” Halliwell left the group in 1998. The other 4 members split up in 1998.
According to the Sun, Melanie “Sporty” Chisholm said she did not want to be part of the reunion.
?She has made it clear that the band is not getting back together with her in it,” the Sun quotes a spokesperson for Chisholm as saying. Chisholm reportedly feels that reuniting with the Spice Girls would harm her successful solo career.
The Sun also says Mel “Scary” Brown is “desperate” to get the girls back together.
Victoria “Posh” Beckham is reported to have organized the meeting, and reports speculated that they were discussing a possible reunion tour and greatest hits CD. The 5 girls met at her mansion in Hertfordshire on Monday night.
While Chishom and Halliwell enjoyed solo success, Emma “Baby” Bunton, Beckham, and Brown failed and were each dropped by their record label.
