Another Canadian act will open for Avril Lavigne. Simple Plan, the rising punk pop act, has joined her “Try to Shut Me Up” tour.

Fellow Canadians Gob will also open up for her, while Swollen Members will play the Canadian dates.

The tour begins April 9 in Toronto and wraps May 17 in Philadelphia.
