Robbie Robertson Headed to Canadian Music Week
Robbie Robertson, guitarist for The Band and solo singer, will appear at Canadian Music Week, as part of a keynote interview.
The musician, who is also an executive at Dreamworks Records, will bring along two of his recently signed artists, Dana Glover and Bookmat.
Glover, who visited Toronto late last year to promote her debut, “Testimony,” will perform material from the album.
Bookmat will also perform. The band features lead singer Taryn Manning, who appeared as Britney Spears’ pregnant friend in the movie Crossroads.
Robertson’s appearance will take place on Saturday, March 1 at 5:30 p.m., as part of the executive conference.
Other keynote speakers at the festival include Pat Dininzio (The Smithereens), Andrew Hill, Daniel Lanois, Bob Lefsetz and Don Tapscott.
