Like so many others, Simple Plan is being called “the next big thing,” but this band believes they have the recipe to success. The 5 Quebec-born pop-punk musicians formed the band after they all met at a Sugar Ray concert. From there, they started cold calling record labels seeking to get signed. These days, ironically, they are opening up for Sugar Ray, not paying to see their concert. The band has a hit with “I’m Just a Kid,” songs in several movie soundtracks, and a famous friend in Mark from Blink 182 who helped them out on a track.
