Winnipeg-native Remy Shand will open the week atop the SoundScan Canadian album chart. His debut CD, “The Way I Feel,” sold 11,400 copies in Canada during its first week, beating out Alanis Morisette’s “Under Rug Swept,” which held the number one spot for the past two weeks.
“I’m blown away, speechless,” he said from Europe, where he is on a promotional tour. “It’s a good day.”
Shand will debut at number 39 on Billboard Album Chart, selling over 30,000 albums in the U.S.
The Grammy-award winning soundtrack to “O Brother, Where Art Thou?” will retain its number one position, while B2K’s self-titled debut enters the chart at number two.
