Report: Michael Jackson to Announce North American Tour
Could it be? Will the King of Pop tour again? The New York Post is reporting that Michael Jackson will announce a North American tour in about two weeks. Jackson?s management is currently working out the details.
In recent months, buzz about a Jackson tour has been in the air. Marcel Avram, a concert promoter who has worked with him in the past, sued Jackson for backing out of an agreement for Avram to promote his next tour. Avram alleged Jackson of talking with other parties about the tour, an allegation that could be proven true in a matter of days once and if the tour is officially announced.
With his latest offering, “Invincible,” selling just 1.8 million copies worldwide, Jackson could be in debt in excess of $40 million for that album alone. Recent reports say Jackson is considering selling the rights to the Beatles catalog, which he owns, to his record company Sony, to settle a larger debt that he owes them.
Billboard reports that Jackson will begin a ?limited run in May.”
