Paul Cattermole has quit S Club 7 to pursue a solo career. The band will continue as a six-piece, worldpop reports. The group previously denied that a member was leaving.

Whether or not the group will change their name to S Club 6, or even if a new member will be found, has not yet been announced. Paul has been romantically linked to S Club’s Hannah Spearitt, and there was even a rumor earlier in the year that the two were going to quit together.

The remaining members of S Club are set to film a movie in Toronto in the spring.
