Rob Zombie, System Of A Down, and P.O.D. will take part in Ozzy Osbourne’s rock circus. Ozzfest, the annual rock musical tour put on by Ozzy Osbourne and his family, will kick off on July 6 in Bristow, Virginia and will continue until September 8 in Dallas, Texas.
The tour will also feature a new unnamed band formed by Soundgarden’s Chris Cornell and Rage Against The Machine’s Tom Morello, Brad Wilk, and Tim Commerford.
“They wanted to work with Ozzy,” Sharon Osbourne said at a press conference today. “They want to be in the same show as Ozzy, so it was really easy. We wanted them. We love the band. Ozzy is a huge fan.”
Other artists taking part include Drowning Pool, Adema, Zakk Wylde’s Black Label Society, Tenacious D, Meshuggah, Apex Theory, Lostprophets, Pulse Ultra, Neurotica, Flaw, Mushroomhead, Otep, Seether, Soil, Glassjaw, Used, Ill Nino, Chevelle, and of course, Osbourne.
The tour is being sponsored by the WWF, and wrestlers will introduce bands and sign autographs at each stop. As well, bands will perform at WWF events.
“On the opening night, Ozzy and I have a cage match scheduled,” wrestler Triple H joked at the press conference, which was held at WWF New York.
