Announced by the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America) that ‘N Sync’s recent release, Celebrity, has hit 5 times platium, meaning they have sold 5 million copies in the US since its release this summer.
Alicia Keys, another Jive Records artist, had her debut album, Songs in A Minor, certified double platnium.
“‘N Sync is one of the hardest working acts in music today and their success is well deserved,” said RIAA President and CEO Hilary Rosen. “We’re equally excited to see Alicia Keys reaching superstar status so quickly and expect many more Gold and Platinum records in what is sure to be a very long career.”
