As reported by andPOP last week, Nickelback will headline this year’s Edgefest. Cake, Finger Eleven, Goldfinger, Default, Sevendust, Simple Plan, and others will join the rock band.

As per tradition, the premier rock event of the summer will be held at Molson Park in Barrie, Ontario, on Canada Day (July 1).

Other bands playing include Danny Michel, The Dears, The Full Nine, Grade, Headstrong, Mudmen, Not By Choice, Robin Black & The Intergalactic Rock Stars, The Weekend, and Melissa Auf De Maur With Hands Of Doom. Auf De Maur is a former member of The Smashing Pumpkins and Hole.

At least three other bands are to be announced, perhaps Silverchair being one of them. There will be three stages, and tickets on sale this Saturday, April 6th at 10 a.m. The early bird special is $32. Then, it will be $45.
