Michael Jackson To Release Invincible
Fans will only have to wait about two months longer to hear Michael Jackson’s first studio album in six years. “Invincible” will hit stores internationally on Monday, October 29th, and in the United States and Canada
on Tuesday, October 30, 2001, Sony Music and Epic Records confirmed today.
“Invincible contains some of Michael Jackson’s finest work to date,” says Tommy Mottola, Chairman and CEO of Sony Music Entertainment. “Michael continues to grow as an artist and, together with his talented co-writers and co-producers, he has created a fresh body of music that is destined to take its place alongside the greatest recordings in Pop history. Music lovers around the world will be surprised and delighted by the power, depth and range of Invincible.”
“You Rock My World,” produced and written by Jackson and Rodney Jerkins, will be the first single and will hit airwaves next month. It has already been leaked to two radio stations in New York, but when asked by Sony to stop playing it, the station obliged.
