Almost every day, another popstar-wanna-be enters the music scene hoping to get his or her big break. It is a tough business to get into, especially in the new millenium with pop acts popping up faster than a toaster. Cullen Stack, born in Seoul, Korea and currently residing in Florida, is one of those hopefuls, and he tells us what makes him unique and what it will take for him to make it.
1. When did you realize you wanted to get into the music business?
When I used to do a lot of live theater as a child about 4 years ago and it just came up that I had talent and why am I sitting around? I should be out there doing music that popped into my head about 5 months ago.
2. When can we expect a CD released from you?
Not for a long time, I am very sorry but I should be done cutting my 3-track demo in a couple of months.
3. How did you get the chance to play on the TRL Tour?
I had a chance to appear at the TRL tour because my management hooked me up with some people and I didn?t do the main show but I did perform and it went very well. There were tons of people. This is before I started to get noticed.
4. Talk about what is was like to play in front of so many people at that show.
It was very scary to play in front of all those people. I was very nervous but I pulled it off it was mostly
just to promote my web site and all, but I ended up doing a little song and dance for the audience.
5. What makes you different than other singers out there?
My personality, my charismatic tunes, and always trying to strive for better and bigger stuff and always trying to give anything and everything to my fans and friends.
6. Describe the type of music you sing.
My style of music is a very unique mix of hip-hop blends with totally pop music. Sort of like a cross between Sisqo and ?N Sync. It?s really cool.
7. What question do you get asked the most?
When I will be going on a tour and the answer is not anytime soon. Sorry everybody. I?m still in high school and need to do well in school and get my music done totally before I hit the road to promote me and my music so I hope y?all understand, thanks.
8. What will it take for a singer like you to make it in the business?
Determination, charisma, great personality, tons of talent, and always striving for better.
9. Any advice for people who want to get into singing professionally?
Yes, always do what your heart tells you. Always do any gigs you can get your hands on. You want to be noticed so get out their and do it and always be loyal to your fans. They?re the ones that are there for you when you are down and there for the good times as well. I know mine are the best in the world and also never settle for less. Always go for bigger and better things.
