Tangled up in a controversy over alleged sex tapes with an underage girl, R. Kelly has dropped out of Life Beat’s Urban Aid 2 fundraiser. Fortunately for those planning to attend the April 9 show, 5-time Grammy award winner Alicia Keys has agreed to perform.
It is not known if the scandal is the reason Kelly will not attend. Jay-Z and P. Diddy will also perform, with two more acts yet to be announced, according to MTV. Jamie Foxx will host the benefit, which takes place at New York’s Beacon Theater.
