Alicia Keys is becoming the Queen of nominations. The R&B singer received four nomination for the 16th annual Soul Train Music Awards. Aaliyah, India.Arie, and the Isley Brothers received three nominations each, while Destiny’s Child, Jagged Edge, Jaheim, Michael Jackson, Musiq Soulchild, and Usher brought in two nominations each.

Keys is nominated for best female R&B/soul album and R&B/soul or rap album of the year categories for “Song in A Minor,” and best R&B/soul or rap new artist and best female R&B/soul single for the hit single “Fallin’.” She will also receive the Sammy Davis Jr. Award for entertainer of the year. Dr. Dre is the male recipient. The O’Jays will be presented with The Quincy Jones Award for outstanding career achievement.

Yolanda Adams, Faith Evans, Arsenio Hall, and Shemar Moore will host the awards show, being taped on March 25 in Los Angeles. The syndicated special will air between March 30 and April 7.

Whether the Queen on nominations can become the Queen of award-winners is yet to be seen.
