Europeans won’t get the chance to be strapped into Janet Jackson’s “pleasure chair.” If that doesn’t make any sense to you, check out our Janet Jackson concert review.

Jackson announced today that she has canceled her European concert tour because of safety concerns following the US terror attacks.

“My European fans are among the most loyal and I was very excited to share this show with them,” Jackson said in a press release today. “I have agonized over this decision. Like most people the events of Sept. 11 have troubled me enormously and I remain concerned about the foreseeable future.”

Safety risks were too high for her large tour entourage, which was to follow her in November and December to Britain, France, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Germany, Switzerland and Belgium.

She said the tour might be rescheduled next year.
