Victoria Beckham, perhaps better known as Posh Spice, is pregnant, becoming the second pop singer to announce their pregnancy in as many days (Brandy is yesterday’s mother-to-be announcement). Victoria and David Beckham, her husband, confirmed that they are expecting a child, via a press release.

“This year has been such an exciting year for us – England are in the World Cup finals, Victoria’s had a second Top 10 hit and now we are expecting a new baby,” it read. “It’s fantastic.”

This will be the couple’s second child, and two-year-old Brooklyn could not be happier. “Brooklyn is also really looking forward to having a little brother or sister to play with,” it continued.

“It is wonderful news and we are very pleased for them,” said manager John Glover, according to worldpop. “Victoria will be continuing with her work and we are currently planning the promotion of her third single.”
