Dido, Kylie Minogue, and Robbie Williams were the big winners at the Brit Awards, held yesterday in London England. Dido won two awards, best female solo artist and best album for “No Angel.”

Minogue, the winner of best international female and best international album for “Fever,” was described as being close to tears.

“This has been an incredibly special evening for me,” she said. “This means so much to me.”

Williams was named best male solo artist, while Travis was named best group.

Gorillaz, the animated group, were nominated for six awards but were shut out.

Bryan McFadden of Westlife, who was named best pop act, got into a little fistfight with So Solid Crew, Reuters reports.

“Bryan McFadden got rather too drunk and tired and emotional,” a spokesman for the Brits told the news organization. “As So Solid Crew went past him, he started to throw water. They reacted by throwing a few punches that didn’t land. A few glasses and bottles were thrown but security stepped in. Unfortunately artists do tend to rather overindulge when they come to these events and have one too many.

A complete winners list can be found at the Brits site, located at www.brits.co.uk.
