Creed Goes 5-Times Platinum
Alan Jackson has sold the most albums for three works in a row, but Creed has done him one better. The Recording Industry Association of America has certified the rock band?s ?Weathered? quintuple platinum for selling 5 million copies. Before Jackson took over, Creed ruled the charts for eight straight weeks.
Shakira’s “Laundry Service,” Pink’s “M!ssundasood,” Michael Jackson’s “Invincible,” Ja Rule’s “Pain is Love,” and Enrique Iglesias’ “Escape” have all gone double platinum, each selling 2 million copies.
