Breaking News: Dream Member Quits
Pop quartet Dream has lost a member in Melissa Schuman. The blonde singer quit the group to pursue an acting career, P. Diddy told the TRL audience as he guest hosted the show on Wednesday.
He later told MTV that there were no hard feelings and that there was “really nothing more” to the departure then her new dream of acting. Diddy owns and operates Bad Boy Records, the label in which Dream is signed to.
When andPOP spoke to Schuman last summer, there was no indication she would ever want to quit. ?I think that every time we do something together, it?s exciting,” she told andPOP, speaking about her now former groupmates. “I love every moment that I get to spend with these girls.?
The girls are about halfway through their second album, scheduled for release in the fall, and a single will be released in the summer. The Neptunes, Rodney Jerkins, Wade Robson, and Diddy are producing tracks for the album.
Auditions are being held for a fourth member but Diddy says that the remaining girls, Holly Blake, Diana Ortiz and Ashley Poole, may remain a trio.
