They will join Paul McCartney, Mick Jagger, Eric Clapton, Billy Joel, the Who, Bon Jovi, James Taylor, John Mellencamp, Macy Gray, Goo Goo Dolls, Melissa Etheridge, Marc Anthony, Five for Fighting and India.Arie.
Taking place at Madison Square Garden, the concert will air on VH1 and MuchMusic.
The next night, pop history will be made, as the Backstreet Boys will play on the same bill as rival boy-band ‘N Sync, in Washington, DC. “United We Stand” will also feature performances by Michael Jackson, Mick Jagger, Aerosmith, Aaron Carter, Ricky Martin, James Brown, Al Green and Kiss. All artists will join for one final song.
