Alanis Morisette is tired of sitting around and doing nothing… well besides the countless hours of promo she’s been doing for her latest album, “Under Rug Swept.” The Canadian pop-rocker will hit the road on May 1 and play U.S. dates throughout the month.

Ryan Adams, who released “Gold” last year, will open.

Morisette had to cut short a promo visit to Australia earlier this week, due to a virus. She has since returned to the U.S.

There is no word yet on whether or not she is planning on touring in Canada.
