The singer everyone?s talking about, Avril Lavigne, will embark on a 5-week tour, dubbed the ?Try to Shut Me Up? tour.

She will begin on April 9 in Toronto before wrapping things up on May 17 in Philadelphia.

?Let Go,? her debut album, has gone 7-times platinum in Canada and 5-times platinum in the United States. She has sold about 10-million copies worldwide, making her a very rich Canadian.

Fellow Canadians, rock group Gob, will open for her.
