Hip hop crew Jurassic 5 has recorded a remix to “Thin Line,” a song that appears on their latest album, “Power in Numbers.” On the album, Nelly Furtado performs the chorus. The remix, however, includes Mya.

It is not known yet if Furtado has been dropped from the remix, if Mya sings her part, or how exactly everything will work.

Furtado fans are taking this to mean that she has been cut from the radio remix, and are very upset at J5.

“Nelly deserves to be on the radio as much as possible and J5 are stupid not to include her on the song,” one fan said in an email to andPOP.

The move may not be so “stupid” after all. If Mya is in fact the replacement for Furtado, one reason for this could be to help get the group more airplay on urban stations, something Mya can get much easier than Furtado.
