Rapper Nelly leads all artists with 10 nominations for the Billboard Music Awards, including Best Male Artist and Best Album for “Nellyville.”

Ashanti leads all the female nominees with seven, including Best Female Artist, and Best New Artist.

Puddle of Mudd has five nominations, followed by Eminem and Alan Jackson who have four each.

Performances include Justin Timberlake, Faith Hill, Avril Lavigne, Creed, Nelly, and Puddle of Mudd

Nelly, P. Diddy, Nas, and Steven Tyler and Joe Perry of Aerosmith, will be part of a tribute to Jam Master Jay of Run-DMC, who was killed on October 30.

Cedric “The Entertainer” will host the show, which air live on Fox on December 9.
