Shakira Leads MTV Latin Winners
Shakira was the big winner at the first ever MTV Video Music Awards Latin America, held last night in Miami.
The Colombian won 5 awards including Artist of the Year and Video of the Year.
Juanes received the award for Best Male Artist of the Year, while Chilean band La Ley won Best Group and Best Rock Artist.
Canadian Avril Lavigne beat Nelly Furtado in the Best New Artist – International category, while American Pink won Best Pop Artist – International.
The show featured a performance by The Rolling Stones.
