Naturi Sues 3LW
Naturi Naughton, the former member of female hip-hop act 3LW, has sued the group, claiming she was forced out.
In the suit filed Friday, Naughton alleges the group’s manager, Michelle Williams, of saying she “did not present the appropriate `project girl image,’” and berated her as “Ms. Two Parent Household,” according to the Associated Press.
Naughton is suing group members Kiely Williams and Adrienne Bailon, as well as Michelle Williams, Tse Williams, owner of Nine Lives Entertainment, Big Cat Management, and Sony Music. All three Williams’ named are sisters.
The lawsuit seeks an order terminating Naughton’s contract with Nine Lives and Sony and compensation for loss of income from the conduct of the defendants, the AP reports.
