Clarkson Wins Singles Contest by a Landslide
As expected (but not by this much) Kelly Clarkson, the American Idol, sold more copies of her first single, “Before Your Love/ A Moment Like This,” than anyone else last week. In fact, of all the CDs sold, only Disturbed’s full-length album sold more than her single.
She sold 236,000 copies in the U.S. That’s nearly 231,000 more than the second-place finisher, Nivea’s “Don’t Mess With My Man.” Listen Nivea, don’t mess with Kelly right now.
All the other 19 singles in the top 20 sold a combined 34,331, MTV reports. The numbers speak for themselves.
