Unless she’s doing a promotional gig of some sort, you won’t find Avril Lavigne performing on tour until next year.

“My album just came out, so it’s been promotions, going to other countries,” Lavigne told MTV. “I won’t be on a tour bus until after Christmas. I’m like, ‘Come on, hurry up!’ I know I’m going to love it. I’ll get to sleep in the same bed every night. And it will just be fun being with my best friends, my band. It’s going to be an amazing experience, performing every night, doing what I love.”

She is working on new songs for her second album.

“I write all the time,” Lavigne said. “That’s how I deal with my feelings and emotions. If all of this came to an end, I would still write and sit down with my laptop and work on my songs. It’s really important to me and I’m really excited about my second record.”
