Ludacris, Avril to Play VMA Pre-Show
With less than one week remaining before the MTV Video Music Awards are handed out, the station announced Ludacris, Avril Lavigne, and Disturbing Tha Peace will play their pre-show broadcast.
Lavigne will perform atop the Radio City Music Hall marquee, much like her entrance to this year’s MuchMusic Video Awards, when she arrived atop her SUV.
The other two performers will remain close to sea level, performing in the middle of Sixth Avenue.
The 2002 MTV Video Music Awards Opening Act will air live on August 29 at 6:30 p.m. ET, while the show will begin at 8.
