Singer Lee Ryan from Blue injured his stomach in a go-kart crash last week. He was rushed to hospital and may be scarred for life by injuries covering most of his stomach and chest.

Ryan is resting at home on painkillers. He will return to hospital this week for further testing.

The 4 members of the UK boyband were at the racetrack at Mile End Park in East London for a photo shoot. Ryan took a cart for a 40-MPH lap, and was then thrown from it.

Consequently, the members of Blue have postponed their promotional tour of the Far East. They planned on visiting Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and Thailand. A trip to Japan is still up in the air, as the group decides what to do and awaits further tests on Ryan.

Blue is still scheduled to release a new album in the UK on November 11.
