The Canadian Urban Music Awards were handed out Wednesday, but the big winner was nonchalant when it came to picking up his awards. K-OS, who received critical acclaim for his album, ?Exit,? won two awards for the single ?Heaven Only Knows.?
When it was first announced he had won for Best Songwriter, he was busy mingling backstage and failed to go up to accept the award. By the time he managed to get to the stage, the next award was already being given out. After he performed with the help of the soulful Glenn Lewis later in the night, he was awarded Best Hip Hop/Rap Recording. K-OS took the award, said ?thank you,? and left.
Lewis picked up the same trophy he won at this year?s Juno Awards, Best R and B/Soul Recording for ?Don?t You Forget It.? Remy Shand, who is currently touring in the United States, won for Best New Artist, beating out Jelleestone and X-Quisite.
