Their lead singer died in 1995, but that hasn?t stopped the surviving founding members of the Grateful Dead from getting back together again. This weekend, the remaining members, now known as The Other Ones, will be on stage together again for only the third time since 1995. The band took a hiatus from performing when lead singer Jerry Garcia passed away.

The group will be performing 2 shows in East Troy, which is in Walworth County, Wisconsin. The 70,000 total tickets were scooped up in no time. The county originally didn?t want to give the band for the permit for the Alpine Valley Music Theatre, but changed their minds despite their fears of drugs and alcohol and other mayhem in the city.

The group plans to do a 15 show tour of the midwest and east coast of the U.S. if all goes well, but no Canadian dates look to be planned. The group last performed together on New Year?s Eve in Oakland, and did one other date back in 1998, but nothing else.
