Fat Joe was arrested last week on charges of assault for breaking a man’s jaw at a New York club, but the rapper says he’s not worried about them because he’s not guilty.

“I was in a club enjoying myself with my wife and her friends,” he tells MTV. “We just chilled, enjoying the success of the tour. An altercation happened and we walked out. I had nothing at all to do with it. So these charges right here, they don’t phase me or make me nervous.”

Although he is confident he will be proven innocent, he is realizes the seriousness of the charges.

“They’re very serious allegations but I had nothing to do with it. If I go to jail, this is the end of my career.”
