Madonna is in London this week, shooting her cameo for the upcoming James Bond movie, entitled ?Die Another Day? starring Pierce Brosnan as 007 and Oscar-winner Halle Berry. Madonna is expected to appear as a fencing instructor in the movie.
Madonna is also signed on to sing the theme song for the new movie, expected to be released November 22 of this year. In the past, Bond theme songs have been sung by superstars such as Tina Turner, Shirley Manson, Nancy Sinatra, Lulu, Carly Simon, Sheena Easton, Duran Duran, a-ha, Sheryl Crow, Tom Jones and Paul McCartney.
Some of the recent Bond regulars are back including Samantha Bond (no relation), Judi Dench and John Cleese.
The 20th movie is the first not to star Desmond Llewelyn. In all previous 19 Bond movies, he played Q, Bond?s gadget maker, but he was tragically killed in a car accident in 1999, after John Cleese had taken the role of his trainee in ?The World Is Not Enough.?
