The best damn singer to emeerge this year, Josh Groban, has officially gone platinum in Canada, selling over 100,000 copies of his self-titled debut album.

Groban will appear on Oprah on July 11, which will increase his sales even further.

Groban, who was discovered by David Foster, is no stranger to network television. He appeared on the Rosie O’Donnell Show, after she saw him rehearsing with Celine Dion for the 1999 Grammy Awards. He’s also been on All McBeal and 20/20, amongst others.
