Dionne Warwick was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana in Miami on Sunday before boarding a plane for Los Angeles. The soul singer was caught with 11 marijuana cigarettes, reports indicate, which were hidden inside her lipstick case.

She was charged with possession of less than 5 grams of marijuana and signed an affidavit promising to appear in court. She could face up to one year in jail if convicted.

“I’m sure Dionne doesn’t use drugs,” her sister Dee Dee told the South Florida Sun-Sentinel. “I don’t understand how that occurred. I think someone put that on her.”

Warwick is perhaps best known for performing the 1980s hit “That’s What Friends Are For” with Elton John, Gladys Knight, and Stevie Wonder.
